Selamawit has been working in the areas of food security and agriculture. She has experience in policy analysis , strategic leadership, projects and program management, inclusive economic growth , social development, community behavior change models and practice. She also has experience in applying holistic approaches to ending child marriage and other harmful traditional practices, advocacy and women’s reproductive health rights. She has the capacity to advise on cooperative development and gender equality, women and entrepreneurship, large scale program coordination and implementation including strategic engagement with government and key stakeholders such as international NGOs and local partners at all levels from district to sub regional level. She has been involved in research and advocacy, preparation of publication for different purposes and did different consultancy works in the country and abroad.
