Rukya has BA degree from Semera University and has Master’s in Animal Nutrition from Hawassa University. She is now a PHD candidate of Agricultural Animal Production in Addis Ababa University. She is a researcher in the institution she is currently working with. She is actively serving her society through consulting, preparation of training manuals and leadership trainings. She would like to see a brand breed for Afar region and has continued her research work in the area to realize her dream.
