Mekdes Asfaw holds BSc in animal science and rangeland management and a Master’s degree in dairy science and Business administration. She has more than 13 years of professional experience mainly in the fields of Livestock, value chain development, private sector development, cooperatives, agro-dealership, market development, livelihood diversification and disaster risk reduction. Mekdes is currently working at SNV Ethiopia, a Netherland based NGO as senior market development advisor.  Prior to joining SNV she worked in different organizations including save the children UK, ILRI and Dilla TVET.
