Lensa is an Executive Directress of Ethiopian Women Lawyers Association (EWLA). Lensa pursued her postgraduate in International gender studies at University of Iceland (HON) and Law (LLB) at Mekelle University and her MSC in project planning and management. She has 10 years of professional experience, leading, coordinating, researching, advocating and implementing human rights, gender equality and democracy programs with special focus on women rights in Ethiopia. Lensa has experience working with the private sector, international NGOs, local and regional civil society Organizations. She participated in various law and policy reforms and also took and provide several trainings on Human and democratic rights, Transitional Justice, peace and security, advocacy and leadership. Lensa has served and is serving as a board of director, founding member and research and advocacy advisor of several CSO organizations. She is a young professional passionate in advocating matters that concerns Human rights and Democracy specializing in Gender.
