ARCHITECT/ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVIST/GRAPHIC DESIGNER

Hilina has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from EiABC (Ethiopian Institute of Architecture, Building Construction and City Development). She is also a graphic designer, an environmental activist, blogger for Sunsilk Ethiopia and works on women empowerment. She is an Alumni of YALIRLCEA cohort 30 Civic Leadership track, Tony Elumelu Foundation fellow 2019, Connect4Climate (C4C), Climate Reality Leader and worked as the Networking and Events Chair for YALIRLCEA Ethiopian chapter (2019 – 2021). She was selected to be part of WE4A (Women Entrepreneurs for Africa) program in 2022. She has currently opened her own company called Seed Balls Ethiopia (SBE) where she fights climate change and the backward system of Agriculture in Ethiopia. Recently she has been awarded as the Earth Champion for climate change from East Africa by ICPAC
