Mekdes is a strategic management advisor, leadership enthusiast and active young leader with more than a decade of experience in community service and active leadership in Ethiopia. She is now a PhD candidate in Mediation and Conflict Resolution at Euclid University. She has got her first Bachelor of Arts (BA) followed by her Master of Arts in Leading Innovation and Change from York St. John University. She is an internationally certified leadership consultant from John C. Maxwell Leadership Institute in Florida. Currently, she is granted a scholarship with United Nations Institute of Training and Research to be certified in Executive Diplomacy in Geneva, Switzerland. Mekedes is now consulting more than 12 organizations in Ethiopia. She is also a national consultant for UNWomen in coaching FDRE women executives. Mekdes is a founder and managing director of Ashagari Consultancy, a management solution firm and Ashagari charitable organization. Through her training and consultancy, she directly trained more than 130,000 people in Ethiopia.
